On the table a blank sheet
Not written on, clean
White as snow that no one has pressed
It invited me in
To draw and begin something
Though what I could not yet guess
I pick up my pants, I glide and I scroll
A strange portrait forms in my head
But her eyes, for some reason, don't meet mine at all
Such a beautiful, sad, distant glance
The girl of my dreams
On this evening you're not here with me
I drew your face
I drew your face
But I never got to know your love
You see, I can't believe this love will fade away
And I'll never see your face again
I'm so tired of living without you
So I drew you—yes, I drew you
And my painting—the one I was making
Suddenly came alive
She smiled at me
Softly said: "Forgive me, don't go looking for me
And laughing, turned into a dove, flying free
